We are in for a treat next Sunday, April 28… Well, to let you in on a secret, we actually have a treat every month at Folk@Canowindra, because of the amazing live music and poetry we get to enjoy! We have performers coming from all around the region and sharing their talents, and we have listeners coming from all around too, relishing the show and the venue and the good company. So, don’t be shy, come and enjoy it with us at taste Canowindra, from 4-6:30pm!
For this month’s feature act, we are very much looking forward to hearing James and Sue Daley from Portland. They are a husband and wife duo who have been playing music together for 8 years. Their latest CD, ‘The Ballad of Harry White’ is hot off the press! They are influenced by such greats as John Hammond, Doc Watson, John Renbourn and Gillian Welch to name but a few. ‘The Ballad of Harry White’ showcases Sue’s expressive voice and love of story telling; which is in turn complemented by James’ ability to bring each character portrayed in song alive with emotion and vitality, as he explores diverse styles of Banjo and Guitar. Sue and James are delighted to be back at ‘taste Canowindra’- they love the audience, the food, and the exquisite drive out west to such a beautiful town!
Admission is free to Folk@Canowindra, with a donation box for the feature act. The venue is family friendly, and you can buy yummy things to eat and drink while you listen. Any enquiries, contact Nerida Cuddy 0429 048 603.
